Wild Plums are about the size of a nickel and red in color with sometimes a splash of yellow.  Once you get past their thorny branches, they are a treat with tart skins and juicy, sweet fruit.  Excellant on sandwiches, muffins, waffles, pancakes, English muffins, French toast and bagels.  Try as a flavoring for baked goods, meat sauces or blended with cream cheese or brie for a wonderful spread on crackers.
